TIRED!

This dog still doesn't sleep! I love the little thing but dangggg I need some sleep!
Jody just tortures Smokey (17 year old cat), I feel so bad for him but really I can't do anything. He does fight back but she is a persistent little brat! I am hoping to get some video of her this weekend - she has also been "yapping" lately. Not a bark but a barkish-whine..... if you have a Chihuahua you know what I mean.
This weekend Jody got herself in a bit of a "tight" spot. On Saturday morning she somehow managed to get her head into the seal tight cat food container. The container has a pour spout on it that seems to be about the diameter of a tennis ball.
When it happened, I had gone back to bed to catch a few more ZZZZZ's while Brookie was sleeping in - I couldn't figure out what the heck was going on, the sound the dog was making was horrible. I quickly removed the bottom portion of the container to give her some air but couldn't get the lid off of her head. In the meantime, all the squealing she was doing woke Brooke up and scared her.
I ended up calling Suzanna on her cell phone and told her i needed her help ...QUICK! The dog gone dog was wiggling and squirming and I was afraid she was going to break her darn neck.
So Suz comes in and is trying to help me and we still can't get the lid off - Brooke is stilllllll screaming in her bedroom. I tell Suzanna... I guess we are going to have to take the dog to the Fire Department - I had tried cutting it off with Scissors and some other tool thingy that was in the closet - but couldn't get it. I asked Suzanna to go upstairs and get Brooke, change her diaper and put clothes on her. I hear Suzanna say, "BROOKE!" and then here they both come down the stairs - Brooke is but-naked. She had decided to take her clothes off and go potty!
Eventually, we managed to get everyone decent enough to go out the door and I went to the vet's office. They all got a really good laugh out of it - then very gently used the "puppy jaws of life" to remove the lid.
I have some pics of the dog with the lid stuck on her head - I'll have to down load them from my phone.
In the meantime, here are some pictures I took this weekend of Brooke. She's getting big! She will be 2 on February 6!
So first of all...she will not let you put anything in her hair....or at least she won't leave it in. Soooo... in order to get her to sit still for these cute little pig tails, I had to tell her..... I'm dressing you like a princess and you get to carry your purse! (The girl LOVES purses!)
As soon as I finished them though she had to check it out. She did keep them in all day - exciting!
After checking out the pig-tails, she had to check out the new wiggles guitar. This is a Christmas present - she will actually stand up and play it like "MOOWAY" (translates to Murray)
Then we had to have some pictures taken with Kelly Jo. This is her Build-A-Bear monkey we did over New Years. Brooke has met my boss Mary Jo many times but hasn't seen her in at least a couple of months.... for some reason, Kelly Jo is now being called Mary Jo. Funny how kids little brains work, eh?
Anyway...notice in the second picture.... she is stealing Kelly Jo's purse....I'm tellin ya ladies, hang on to your pocket book when this girl is around! She walks around the house with a purse all the time. When I am dressing her to get ready, she'll say.... PURSE! PURSE! and point to her top drawer where her "accessories" are.
The girl cracks me up, keeps me busy and seems to be walking around with my heart in her hands!
Hope everyone is doing well and surviving the winter.... I'm ready for the heat!

Hey Dottie. I LOVE dogs, Especially puppies. Find it hard to resist buying them. But I realized long ago that they are a HUGE responsibility. IF you take care of them appropriately, anyway! I now RESIST them any time I can! I have two and lost our "favorite" lab, Coach, only two months after Ellie was born. I don't know when I will be ready for another. I don't need anything ELSE keeping me up at night! Melanie
